LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 44-year-old Las Vegas-area youth club director is facing child lewdness charges after being accused of improper contact with children at a Southern Highlands facility.
Willis Brown remained jailed Monday pending a scheduled court appearance Tuesday. Police say he was arrested Thursday. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
Brown could face decades in prison if he's convicted.
Boys & Girls Club officials say Brown moved from Cleveland to Las Vegas in 2009, and was athletic director of a Henderson clubhouse before transferring to Southern Highlands.
A club biography says Brown coached basketball for more than a decade at colleges in Ohio.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada chief executive Andy Bischel says Brown is suspended and banned from club facilities pending the outcome of the criminal case.
