BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Medical students at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda are taking part in combat casualty training.
Officials said in a statement that the training at the school, which is run by the federal government and emphasizes military health care, will take place Monday through Wednesday in the woods and pond adjacent to the university. Officials say the public may hear occasional yelling and the simulated sounds of gunfire, which are part of the training.
Officials say walking trails near the pond will be closed during the exercise.
