BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A small, flowering plant found only in southwest Idaho will again be listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Monday announced the listing of slickspot peppergrass to take effect Sept. 16.

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — Two adults were found dead in a Spokane Valley home on Monday morning and law enforcement officers were searching for an Idaho man in connection with the slayings. The victims were a brother and sister, who were shot to death, according to Spokane Valley Sheriff's deputies.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A new report estimates that constructing a small nuclear reactor in eastern Idaho would create or sustain nearly 13,000 local jobs. The Post Register reports that the Idaho Department of Labor's report considers a $2.8 billion small modular nuclear reactor proposed for the U.S. Department of Energy's desert site.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Three environmental groups and two commercial fishing advocacy groups say they will file a lawsuit against the federal government over heat-related fish kills in the Columbia River Basin. The groups on Monday sent a 60-day notice of their intent to sue the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for what the groups say are violations of the Clean Water Act.
