CENTERVILLE — The death of a Centerville woman and her dog hit while walking on I-15 early Saturday is being investigated as a possible suicide, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Laurie Lake, 36, and her dog were reported walking in the northbound traffic lanes on the interstate at Parrish Lane about 3 a.m., according to UHP.

Troopers were dispatched to the scene, but before they arrived, emergency dispatchers received another call from a semi truck driver who said he had hit the woman and her dog, the UHP said.
