LOS ANGELES (AP) — This wasn't exactly the kind of return the Los Angeles Rams hoped for.
Hosting their first game in Southern California in more than two decades, the Rams watched Lucky Whitehead of the Dallas Cowboys return the opening kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown Saturday.
The quick score came in a preseason game at the Coliseum, where the Rams played through 1980. They later held games in Anaheim before moving to St. Louis for 1995.
The Rams returned to L.A. for this season.
Whitehead caught the kick by Greg Zuerlein in the end zone, broke free through the middle and ran away from the Rams' coverage.
