OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Pool Winner scored a wire-to-wire win in the $60,000 My Frenchman Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Sylven Park by 2 ¾ lengths.
Trained by Alan Goldberg and ridden by Nik Juarez, the 4-year-old gelding ran the 5 ½ furlongs over a firm turf course in 1:01.72 and paid $6.40, $3.40 and $2.60. It was the sixth win in 15 career starts for Pool Winner, who has now earned #244,840.
Sylven Park paid $15.60 and $4.40, while betting favorite Run for Logistics was 1 ½ lengths back in third and returned $2.20.
