ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will have to wait at least another week before making his preseason debut.

Team owner Jim Irsay announced on Twitter that Luck will not play against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday night. Irsay called it a long preseason and said to expect Luck to start when the Colts play their following two preseason games at home.

Indianapolis hosts Baltimore on Aug. 20 and Philadelphia the following week.

Luck hasn't played since missing the final seven games of last season with a lacerated kidney and a torn abdominal muscle. Last month, the Colts signed Luck to a six-year, $140 million extension.

The Colts were supposed to open the preseason against Green Bay in the Hall of Fame game last week, but the game was canceled because of poor field conditions.
