THIS IS LARRY MANKIN, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

Spectrum Technology Design, a division of Spectrum+Bennion, teamed up with Gillies Stransky Brems Smith to create a new high-tech board room for Management and Training Corporation. The resulting room won second prize in Presentations magazine’s Best Presentation Rooms “Boardrooms” competition.

According to the Wells Fargo Wasatch Front area Cost of Living Report, the local cost of living has risen for the third consecutive month in July. Rising transportation costs, due to higher gasoline prices, are to blame.

STSN, a provider of high speed Internet services headquartered in Salt Lake City, has chosen Christopherson Travel Group to manage all their business travel needs.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: In the beginning of 1915, the Chamber was still $245,000 dollars in debt from building its Commercial Club Headquarters. In today’s dollars that would be a debt of $4,375,000 dollars.

Many things happened 100 years ago. For example it is the 100th anniversary of composer Richard Rogers’ birth. It’s also the Salt Lake Chamber’s 100th Anniversary and on September 14th there will be plenty of music at the Century Celebration Gala at the Grand America. Stoel Rives and Questar sponsor the event. At the Gala we will honor over 100 of the people who gave extraordinary volunteer service to the Chamber. Call the Chamber now to reserve your space at 328-5050 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
