LOS ANGELES (AP) — The NFL is back in Los Angeles tonight. For the first time since 1994, pro football fans in Los Angeles can root for a home team as the Rams face the Cowboys in an exhibition game. The Rams franchise was moved out of St. Louis to L.A. during the offseason.
NEW YORK (AP) — The Yankees have officially released Alex Rodriguez. He played his final game last night and received a loud ovation when he left the field in the ninth inning after being put into the game at third base. The 41-year-old is still owed over $27 million on his contract.
SILVIS, Ill. (AP) — The rain-delayed second round of the PGA's John Deere Classic has been completed. Ryan Moore and Wesley Braun share the lead as third-round play begins at 12-under. Steve Marino is alone in third at 11-under.
