TOKYO (AP) — Urawa Reds beat Nagoya Grampus 2-0 on Saturday to move top of the J-League second-stage standings with its seventh win in eight games.
Yuki Muto opened the scoring just before halftime and Zlatan Ljubijankic added the second three minutes from time. Relegation-threatened Nagoya is winless in 16 games.
Kim Min Woo scored after the break as fourth-place Sagan Tosu edged Kawasaki Frontale 1-0. Urawa improved to 22 points, three ahead of Kawasaki.
In other matches, Gamba Osaka beat Jubilo Iwata 2-0 and is in third place on 17 points, while Yokohama F Marinos drew 1-1 with Omiya Ardija to drop to fifth.
Defending champion Sanfrecce Hiroshima edged Shonan Bellmare 2-1 and is sixth. Vissel Kobe thrashed FC Tokyo 4-1 at home and Vegalta Sendai beat Kashiwa Reysol 4-2.
