RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Three-time world champ Simone Biles has helped lead the United States to the gold medal in women's gymnastics. She teamed with Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian to crush runner-up Russia by more than eight points.

UNDATED (AP) — Several fans who traveled to Canton, Ohio for the Hall of Fame game that was canceled on Sunday night because of poor field conditions are planning to sue the NFL and the hall. Attorney Michael Avenatti has told The Associated Press that no fewer than 20 individuals have approached him about a class-action lawsuit.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Broncos coach Gary Kubiak has postponed his decision on naming a starting quarterback until Wednesday. Kubiak and his staff are deliberating whether veteran Mark Sanchez or Trevor Siemian will start at Chicago on Thursday night in the defending Super Bowl champ's preseason opener.

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — Colts' defensive end Kendall Langford is going to miss three to four weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on an injured knee. Colts coach Chuck Pagano says Langford hurt the knee in practice last week. The Colts hope to have Langford back for the Sept. 11 season opener.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Cardinals have placed Michael Wacha (WAH'-kuh) on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflammation. Wacha is 7-7 with a 4.45 ERA. He allowed four runs in five innings and got no decision in a 5-4 come-from-behind victory on Monday.
