ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Police called to investigate a possible kidnapping issued disorderly conduct citations to two adults and three juveniles, who said they only were playing a game of Fugitive.
Police Sgt. Craig Harding said a caller told police Friday night that a young person yelling for help was seen being thrown into the truck of a car near the Wal-Mart in the Bloomington area.
Dispatch then received a second call about a similar incident across town near the Old Navy store on Red Cliffs Drive, Harding said.
An officer found the car involved in the second incident and was told the occupants were playing Fugitive.
Harding said the five were cited for disorderly conduct because of the panic caused by their alleged actions.
Fugitive, which is played at night, involves runners who are given a head start and try to get from one place to another. They are pursued by other players in cars.
