RENO, Nev. (AP) — A teenager who appeared intoxicated had to be pulled from the Truckee River after falling in downtown Reno.
Police say the incident happened Sunday around 10:45 a.m. during the Hot August Nights Grand Finale Parade.
The teenage boy was on a ledge near the Virginia Street Bridge when he fell in.
Police and firefighters rescued him and he was taken to the hospital for a possible head injury.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that he will be arrested upon his release for allegedly fighting police and resisting arrest.
The teen's identity was not released.

This story corrects that the teenager fell near the Virginia Street Bridge, not from it.
