WASHINGTON (AP) — Newt Gingrich says that "of course" Donald Trump's economic plan doesn't add up — candidates' numbers never do. The former House speaker, who supports Trump, was responding to a question on "Fox News Sunday" about whether Trump's plan to slash corporate and other taxes was economically sound. Gingrich then offered some suggestions for ways Trump could offset tax losses. Both Trump and Hillary Clinton are expected to outline their economic plans this week in Detroit.

SINKING SPRING, Pa. (AP) — Five people have been found dead in a Pennsylvania home where authorities say an apparent "murder/suicide" note was found. A call from a concerned relative led police to the Berks County home, where a couple and their three children were found dead with gunshot wounds. The couple had been featured in news stories about their difficulties getting medication for their youngest daughter, who had a heart transplant.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati police have shot and killed a robbery suspect in a downtown square. Police tell The Cincinnati Enquirer the man was shot this morning after pulling a knife on officers. The man was suspected of robbing a grocery store, where he allegedly held a knife to the throat of a security guard. Witnesses told the newspaper the man was known to be homeless and appeared to be intoxicated.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A Michigan man has been arrested and charged with felony drug trafficking after more than two dozen concertgoers became ill after ingesting THC-laced candies at an Ohio rap festival. A spokeswoman for the OhioHealth hospital in Mansfield said 24 attendees of the EST 2016 festival in Butler were treated with an overdose antidote yesterday after ingesting the candy packets. THC is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana.

CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) — Jim Furyk (FYOOR'-ihk) has set a PGA Tour record by shooting a 58 during today's final round of the Travelers Championship. Furyk was already one of six golfers to shoot a 59 in his career. He did that during the second round of the BMW Championship in 2013. The 46-year-old American has 17 PGA Tour victories.
