According to the Wells Fargo Wasatch Front Cost of Living Report, the cost of living fell slightly in April, following three months of overall increases. The lower cost is mainly due to decreases in the prices of gasoline, housing, and groceries.

The Utah Department of Energy is sponsoring a workshop on maintenance and safety of hot water and steam boilers on June 4th. For more information contact the Utah Engineering Experiment Station at 581-6348.

Workers Compensation Fund is hosting a series of safety seminars for Utah employers in June including topics such as “Blood-borne Pathogens,” and “Fundamentals of Workers Comp.” For more information call The Workers Compensation Fund at 288-8105.

Axis41, a marketing communications agency, recently received nine awards from the Salt Lake City Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts including two Top 10 “Best of Show” awards. One of the “Best of Show” awards was for their website at www.axis41.com.

Here’s a Chamber History Fact: The first headquarters of the Salt Lake Chamber in 1902 was in the rooms over Wells Fargo Bank at 131 South Main.
