Don’t miss the Office of the Future at the Chamber’s Business to Business Expo on May 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Salt Palace.

The Child Abuse Prevention Center of Utah recently honored four Child Advocates of the Year. The Chamber congratulates Susan Glasmann, George McKellar, Ruth Taylor, and Catherine Montgomery for their efforts in enriching the lives of Utah children.

Bud Bailey Construction recently broke ground for a new meeting house for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in Temecula, California.

Union Point Contractors, a Salt Lake City commercial construction concern, recently completed construction on the Salt Lake Community College, Jordan Campus Student Pavillion. This project was featured in Intermountain Contractor magazine as one of the best projects of 2001.

Here’s a Chamber history fact: In 1902, over $13,000 dollars was spent to furnish the first headquarters of the Salt Lake Chamber. In today’s dollars, that would be over $236,360 dollars.

Upon unanimous vote of the Salt Lake Chamber’s Board of Governors, Mitt Romney has been chosen as A Giant In Our City. This award is Salt Lake’s highest honor. Mitt will be honored at a banquet next week on April 24th. Speakers include SLOC’s Chief Operating Officer Fraser Bullock and Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson.
