Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Christopherson Travel Group has hired Jeff Dodge as a Travel Consultant at AMI Semiconductor, Holly Wallin as a Travel Consultant at the University of Utah, and Charee Astle and Vikki Makapugay as Travel Consultants at Iomega Corporation. ClearOne Communications has named Andrew Fellows as Vice President of Services.
1,431,851 passengers went through Salt Lake City International Airport in January. This is down 7.77 percent from last year.
March 18th marked the 150th anniversary of Wells Fargo & Company. Wells Fargo is one of about a dozen Fortune 500 companies founded in or before 1852 that are still in their original business with their original name. The Chamber celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and salutes all organizations and businesses 100 years old or older.
Here’s an Olympic business fact: During the Games, downtown traffic was reduced by 30 to 40 percent. Traffic in West Valley City and Davis County both fell by 20 to 30 percent.
