This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
When the Excel Eye Center was founded in Provo in 1917, it was the area’s first medical specialist practice. Today, Excel is the largest private practice in the region with offices in Provo, Orem, Payson and American Fork. Satellite offices are located throughout south central Utah, as well. So, what has made Excel a success and contributed to its growth? Well, here are a just a few things.
Through the years, Excel has maintained a goal of providing quality eye care and helping patients understand any necessary treatments. Through 11 doctors, patients receive everything from eye exams to corneal transplants including glaucoma care, cataract surgery, the latest contact lenses, facial cosmetic surgery, diabetic care, LASIK surgery and pediatric eye care.
For general eye exams, Excel physicians use the most advanced and precise equipment to diagnose vision problems and prescribe the appropriate treatment. If glasses or contacts are needed, every Excel office has an optical center where opticians can help patients choose the right frames and lenses from a large selection of brands and styles.
Excel’s doctors specialize in cataract treatment and have performed thousands of cataract surgeries. They use the latest techniques to ensure that patients get the best results. And for corneal transplants, Excel offers the only corneal specialist in Utah County.
Excel’s doctors were also some of the first in the area to offer Laser Vision Correction or LASIK. They’ve been performing LASIK surgery since the FDA approved it in 1995.
In addition to optical care, Excel offers a wide range of cosmetic services including full face lifts, facial augmentation, skin resurfacing, reconstructive surgeries, liposuction of the face and body, endoscopic procedures and the latest in laser skin resurfacing. Many older patients have gone to Excel’s cosmetic surgeon for a procedure known as blepharoplasty which restores full visual field to older patients whose drooping eyelids hinder sight.
Well, it’s no wonder Excel has “excelled” at eye care. Through its broad range of services, Excel and the many professionals who work there are making eye care truly visionary.
