Governor Leavitt has signed a proclamation recognizing today as International Credit Union Day in Utah. The credit union movement began in Germany 153 years ago. The first credit union was established in Utah 73 years ago. Today over half of Utahns are members of one or more of the state’s 153 credit unions.

Inovex Data Services has opened a highly secure data center in the Computer Power Technology facility at 3949 South 200 East in Salt Lake. The center features redundant high-speed fiber access, uninterruptible power protection with generator backup, and other data security provisions.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: During the Games, free Olympic shuttles will be offered from the 3900 South Meadowbrook TRAX station to the E-Center and from the 5300 South Murray Central TRAX station to the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns. The Ice Sheet at Ogden, the E-Center, the Utah Olympic Oval, and the Utah Olympic Park will all have Park & Walk lots, where the parking is close enough to allow spectators to walk straight into the venue. Parking at all of these lots is free of charge.
