Scott Nelson, a 32-year veteran and long-time Utah civic leader, will retire November 15th as Wells Fargo’s regional president for Utah and Southwestern Wyoming. He will be succeeded by Robert A. Hatch.

According to Utah Association of REALTORS®, single family home sales increased an average of seven percent during the second quarter of 2001. The average sales price for a home in Utah was $155,731 (excluding Park City).

According to Bank Technology News, Mountain America Credit Union ranks 37th in the nation among all financial institutions for its number of online users. Of its 150,000 members, 40,416, or 26 percent are online users.

Here’s an Olympic business fact: The Governor has declared that tomorrow, September 1st, will honor Utah’s first Olympic Gold Medallist, Alma Richards.
