THIS IS LARRY MANKIN FROM THE SALT LAKE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT.

Several Salt Lake businesses report personnel changes. Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy hired Robert Campbell as a senior member of its Litigation Section. Myron Wilson has joined ajc architects as a new Project Architect. American Investment Bank has promoted Randy Jenson to CEO and President.

Forthgear, a corporate brand management firm, was recently selected as agency of choice by Gold Standard, a professional hospitality company, Romni, Inc., a local insurance and investment relations company, and Layton Hills Mall, a shopping center in Davis County.

Questar has announced several growth initiatives including expanding the interstate transmission system, constructing a salt-cavern storage facility in Wyoming, and entering the wholesale power-generation business.

Here’s an Olympics business fact: The favorite activity of visitors to the Sydney Olympics, after Olympic activities, was visiting tourist sites. Only 10 percent identified shopping as their favorite activity. Less than 4 percent listed cultural events (such as shows and arts) as their favorite activities.

The Chamber Golf Classic is coming up on June 11th. This is the premier golf tournament of Salt Lake. You can save up to $200 dollars if you register for a hole or foursome today. Call the Chamber for more information at 328-5043 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
