A suspected drunk driver crashed into a Kearns nightclub during what police think was an act of road rage.
It started around 3 a.m. at one nightclub near 5400 South and 4000 West in Kearns and ended in another.
A man in his 20s was at Los Coyotes nightclub, was very intoxicated and was asked to leave. Witness Vivian Crosby said the man got upset when her sister, an employee at Los Coyotes, refused his advances. "He got really upset, he got really aggressive, [and] security had to come out," Crosby said.
And then he got kicked out. Crosby said, "They were threatening to call the cops. He got really upset and got in the car."
That's when he crashed into Yelena Kudrya's car. She said, "All of a sudden, this weird car hits us. As soon as I got out of the car, everyone's like, ‘Oh they ran away, they ran away.' I get on the phone with 911."

Sgt. Paul Barker of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office said, "He left in a hurry in his red car and hit the black car. The black car kind of spun and had the bumper ripped off. Then the red car shot into the other bar."

The red car crashed into the nearby La Rumba private club, which was closed at the time. The man took off on foot and collapsed. An officer was flagged down by a witness, and he found the vehicle in the club.
The man was transported to Pioneer Valley Hospital in serious condition. The man will only stay at the hospital until he's well enough to go to jail.
And he's in some potential trouble for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. Kudrya said the event was scary. She said, "I'm just like wow. I'm like, I'm not coming back."
The two passengers that got away have not been found. The driver of the car is still at the hospital. The sheriff's office says the driver will not be arrested until the DUI investigation is complete.
