(KSL News) A pregnant woman was hit by a TRAX train at the Murray Central station near 5200 South and Cottonwood Street this morning.

The woman was at the platform holding a bike around 7 a.m. She bent over to tie her shoe and was leaning way over the yellow line.

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) spokeswoman Carrie Bohnsack-Ware says the woman had headphones on, so she didn't hear the oncoming train. She says, "Luckily, the train was going really slowly. It just barely tapped her head. She fell back, hurt her back a little bit."

Bohnsack-Ware says the woman is very lucky she wasn't hurt worse. She was taken to the hospital in fair condition.
