Driver of stolen car flees from police

(KSL News) A suspect driving a stolen car led police on a chase this evening.

Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol says a trooper spotted the stolen vehicle around 7:00 tonight traveling southbound near 6000 S. Fashion Blvd.

The officer tried to pull over the car, but the driver took off, traveling northbound on I-15 and exiting near 5300 South. Officers performed a pit maneuver and stopped the car near 440 West.

The suspect suffered minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital. A passenger in the stolen car was not injured.

The driver of the car, Justin Hansen, 33, of Santaquin, was arrested on several charges. The passenger, Jonathan Call, 28, of West Jordan, was arrested on previous felony warrants.
