(KSL News) Tonight is National Night Out Against Crime, and there were events across Utah.
A K-9 demonstration highlighted the events hosted by the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department. There were a lot of booths set up to teach people everything from fire safety to how to be safe while playing with toys near busy streets.
A similar event was held in Salt Lake City's Westpointe neighborhood. Children were able to ride in a fire truck and check out the fire fighters' gear.
