(KSL News) More surgery is scheduled today for the 11-year-old boy who was critically injured by a homemade explosive device.

Bridger Hunt's family says doctors will look for possible infections in his wounds.

The firework basically went off like a pipe bomb, sending a piece of shrapnel ripping through Bridger's leg. It happened July 24 in Lehi.

The man who lit the device faces charges in the incident.
