Police seek man after 2 students injured in campus shooting

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (AP) — Police have identified a suspect in connection to an on-campus shooting that injured two students at Tuskegee University.

Tuskegee University Police tell multiple news outlets in a news statement that they have identified 20-year-old Ras Hodari Jacobs-El as a suspect after the shooting occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of a university residence hall. The two students suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Jacobs-El is a student at Tuskegee. He faces charges of attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Police say Jacobs-El is wanted by police and was last seen driving a black four-door BMW with an Alabama tag that reads TAC-712.

Tuskegee University president Brian Johnson said in a news release that he is saddened by the incident.
