BEAVER, Utah (AP) -- The National Weather Service is trying to figure out if there was a tornado in southern Utah over the weekend after someone reported seeing one.

I'm not sure if this is an actual tornado, or simply a large dust devil... I took this picture today
(7/30/06) just south of the Kanosh exit on I-15. I saw this in my rear-view
mirror, and by the time I pulled off to the side of the road, got out my
camera, and took the photo, it had diminished to nearly half it's size from
when I had first seen it. It was quite impressive! The funnel reached all
the way up to the clouds!"

N-W-S officials are now investigating the possible tornado sighting. They say a picture taken around four p-m near Beaver shows what may be a weak tornado. However, they say it could've also been associated with a fire or a dust devil due to all the blazes in the area.

"...taken by my father-in-Law as we were making our way from Cedar
City to Ogden. We were driving up I-15 toward Fillmore... ...we were one mile south of the I-70 interchange to Denver
near Sulfurdale."

The National Weather Service says there was also another report of at least one tornado seen in the area.
