SALT LAKE CITY — An entire month of donations for bully prevention. That was the commitment from Nate Wade Subaru to the Anti-Bullying Coalition of Utah.
Customers were able to enter a drawing for a road bike and snowboard, but that's not all. They could donate money to the coalition and then Nate Wade Subaru matched all those donations Saturday.
"Everyone knows someone who's been bullied or who's had a hard time because of it and we wanted to help out," said Carli Claflin, the outreach coordinator for Nate Wade Subaru.
More than $1,000 dollars in donations came in and were matched by the dealership, which gave the Anti-Bullying Coalition a check for $2,000.
"We are here to provide programs for the schools," said Pam Hayes, the director of programs for the Anti-Bullying Coalition of Utah. "The Utah Jazz Bear started this coalition wanting to make sure the schools had resources and the students had resources to help stop bullying."
