(KSL News) A motorcyclist is in critical condition after he collided with a car.
Authorities say the car was pulled over to the side of the road in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Then the driver decided to make a U-turn and head back down the canyon. The driver didn't see the motorcycle, and the biker slammed into the back of the car.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
Officials say this serves as a warning to both drivers and motorcyclists to pay close attention to other vehicles on the road.
