(KSL News) Some commuters can't wait for it; others don't think it will make a difference. But a lot of drivers we talked to yesterday wished Legacy Highway was open when a semi truck carrying an oversize load rolled over on I-15 in North Salt Lake.
The crash triggered a massive backlog of cars on both the freeway and surrounding surface streets. Motorists heading north into Davis County spent hours trying to get home.
Even without an accident, traffic is usually heavy on I-15 during rush hour on any given day. Can anything be done to cut down the congestion?
We discussed that issue tonight with Shawn Kisana, a Davis County motorist, and Nile Easton, spokesman for the Utah Department of Transportation.
