DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — The road to the Final Four begins tonight in Dayton, Ohio with the first of two NCAA Tournament doubleheaders over the next two nights. In tonight's opening game, Florida Gulf Coast is facing Fairleigh Dickinson while the nightcap has Vanderbilt going against Wichita State.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos have matched the Miami Dolphins' front-loaded, four-year, $18 million offer to running back C.J. Anderson. The move was somewhat surprising given that the Broncos had placed the lower tender on Anderson, a restricted free agent. Anderson ran for 720 yards and five touchdowns last season.
UNDATED (AP) — The Bengals have signed Adam "Pacman" Jones to a three-year deal, keeping the cornerback in an offseason of transition. Jones was Cincinnati's top cornerback in a 12-4 season which ended with a playoff loss to Pittsburgh. Jones' personal foul for bumping an official helped set up the Steelers' winning field goal in the closing seconds.
UNDATED (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens have added more speed to their passing game, signing wide receiver Mike Wallace to a two-year contract. Wallace caught 39 passes for a career-low 473 yards and two touchdowns for Minnesota last season, but he should provide strong-armed quarterback Joe Flacco and the Ravens the outside speed they've been lacking.
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Arnold Palmer says he'll be on the first tee to open the Masters next month, but won't take part in the ceremonial tee shot. The 86-year old, four-time Masters champ has been part of an opening tee shot since 2007. He says this year he'll watch Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player "sweat it out."
