LOS ANGELES (AP) — Former first lady Nancy Reagan is being remembered as a gracious first lady and a devoted wife. Mrs. Reagan died yesterday in Los Angeles at age 94 of congestive heart failure. Her best-known project was the "Just Say No" campaign to help kids and teens stay off drugs. After the death of former president Ronald Reagan in June 2004, Nancy Reagan dedicated herself to tending his legacy, especially at his presidential library in California.

FLINT, Mich. (AP) — The verbal battle between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders is heating up. At last night's Democratic presidential debate in Flint, Michigan, Clinton accused Sanders of turning his back on the auto industry. Sanders said Clinton's friends on Wall Street "destroyed this economy." The aggressive tangling marked a change in tone for the two Democrats.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea is threatening to "push the buttons to annihilate" its southern neighbor and the United States. Seoul and Washington began their annual defensive springtime war games today, the largest ever staged.

BOSTON (AP) — Unions representing construction workers in Boston have agreed to work for lower pay on projects that will provide more affordable rental housing. Those units would be paid about one-third less than the unions' standard commercial rates in exchange for the projects being 100 percent union.

VIENNA (AP) — A belch can have its benefits. A policeman ticketed Vienna bartender Edin Mehic last month for burping too loudly after eating a doner kebab. But many people took Mehic's side, including the Turkish company responsible for the sliced meat sandwich. The food chain gave Mehic an all-expenses-paid trip to Istanbul and reimbursed him the 70-euro fine he had to pay for belching.
