Atlee Burpee Co., who recently acquired Heronswood Nursery (summer, 2000) and GardenEscape's defunct Garden.com (winter, 2001) customer base and brand. Foster Gallagher (who filed for bankruptcy in early July, 2001--see any page listed below for details and links) owned: Breck's Bulbs Michigan Bulb Co. New Holland Bulb Spring Hill Nursery Stark Brothers Vermont Wildflower Farm's mail-order catalog only (ceased publishing it in 1999. They own the name Vermont Wildflower Farm for mailorder only.) Garden Solutions (online storefront featuring Breck's, Spring Hill, Henry Fields, Gurney's, and Stark Brothers) MySeasons.com (another registered domain for the above online storefront featuring Breck's, Spring Hill, Henry Fields, Gurney's, and Stark Brothers) Gurney's presents: The Garden Store These asests were sold and various companies have picked them up and started again. Plantron owns: Bessers Royal Dutch Gardens Burgess Seed & Plant Co. Interstate (Inter-State) Nurseries Farmers Seed & Nursery Co. Four Seasons Nursery House of Wesley Richard Owen Nurseries, Inc. Owen Nursery and Florist Kelly Nurseries Exciting Gardens is connected to Richard Owen Nurseries, Inc. DirectGardening is a division of House of Wesley Park Seed Co. owns Wayside Gardens Daffodil Mart is now owned by White Flower Farms, who also owns Shepherd's Seeds. Garden City Seeds, Irish Eyes with a Hint of Garlic and Greg Anthonys are linked, and have absorbed Ronningers Seed and Potato. Irish Eyes, Inc. is the parent of the following: Bean and Pea Seed Co. In Hot Pursuit Irish Eyes with a Hint of Garlic www.hintofgarlic.com (URL redirects to Irish Eyes with a Hint of Garlic Ronninger was last reported developing a separate Heirloom seed company, Ronniger's Organic Farm. The Crape Myrtle Co. has similar if not identical contact information on eight different websites, including www.plantpatents.net and www.netplants.net I'm not sure which owns whom in the following relationships: SBE (Southern Business Express) appears to be the parent firm --or at least the main supplier-- for Mother Earth Seeds, seedman.com,World Wide Exotic Seeds, Drysdale Seed Company, The GreenWeb, and Forever In Bloom Quality Dutch Bulbs and Netherland Bulb Company Jung, McLure and Zimmerman, Roots and Rhizomes and Totally Tomatoes. It has been reported that Jung bought TT in 2000. Seymour's Selected Seeds and Totally Tomatoes and R.H. Shumway's and Vermont Bean Seed Company, except that Jung owns the domains (URLS) for JungSeed.com, TotallyTomato.com, SeymourSeedUSA.com, rhshumway.com, vermontbean.com Vilmorin Clause and Cie owns Ferry-Morse Seed Co. Not sure where the link between Advance Seed Co. and Ferry-Morse Seed Co stands. Arkansas Berry and PlantFarm and Pensenurseries. Indiana Berry and PlantFarm and Nourse Farms. Wildflower Farm and Prairie Nursery. John Scheepers is the "retail quantity" division of Van Engelen and an affiliate of Schreiner's.
