(KSL News) -- Autopsy results show the Salt Lake City man who died in April after police tasered him several times was high on cocaine and meth.
A medical examiner found Alvin Itula died from a drug-induced condition called "excited delirium", which can spur pulmonary arrest, especially after being restrained.
Four Salt Lake City police officers have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
They approached Itula April 21 after mistakenly thinking he was wanted. Itula took off, the officers told him to stop, then tasered him, sprayed him with pepper spray and hit him in the leg with a baton.
Itula said he couldn't breathe, his pulse grew weak and he died at the hospital.
