(KSL News) A couple of experienced hikers had to call search and rescue crews for help when one of them injured their knee.
Collin Buck and Heidi Patterson were hiking the Dog Lake Trail in Millcreek Canyon yesterday when Patterson wrenched her knee on a hill. The two were prepared to spend the night, so they stayed there until morning.
Buck said, "She was in a lot of pain, but we didn't want to drag anyone out in the middle of the night. So we just waited 'til morning and called."
Search and rescue crews helped Patterson down the mountain and took her to the hospital. Aside from the knee injury, both hikers were just fine.
