But one new Utah business has set out to make that special day extra magical with a Princess Tea Party. Auntie Rae's Dessert Island is offering full meal parties at the shop in Holladay...all in an effort to take the stress off of the parents. Auntie Rae Scone Dough Recipe: 2 cups All Purpose Flour 3/4 tsp baking Powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 stick (1/2 cup) Cold Butter, cubed 2 Eggs, beaten 1 tsp Almond Emulsion, or Vanilla Extract 1/2 cup Heavy Cream, plus more if needed
Combine all dry ingredients and mix in large bowl. Next add the cold butter in small cubes into the dry ingredients. Add eggs, almond emulsion, and heavy cream and mix until dough just holds together. Add more heavy cream as needed until dough holds together. Roll out dough onto lightly floured surface until around 1/2 in. thick. Cut dough with circle cutter and place on baking sheet. Brush the tops with heavy cream and sprinkle sugar over the top. Bake at 350 F for around 17 minutes until light golden brown.
