WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — A fire in West Valley City has displaced a family and cost them their dog.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1nf2736 ) that fire officials responded to the fire early Saturday after a neighbor saw flames and knocked on the door to notify the residents.
West Valley City Fire Battalion Chief Mark Ownsbey says the house suffered about $125,000 in damage. The family dog died in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
