WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are searching for three men who they say robbed two random people walking down the street in West Valley City Sunday night.

The first robbery happened at 9:40 p.m. near 4200 South and 4000 West, according to Lt. Dalan Taylor of the West Valley City Police Department.

He said a 27-year-old man was headed home from a pool hall when three men walked up to him. One of them pointed a gun at him, while the other two stole everything out of the man's pockets. All three then fled on foot.

Around 10:30 p.m., a trio of men similarly robbed a 21-year-old man as he walked home from work near 3900 South 2200 West, Taylor said.

Neither of the victims was injured.

The robbers were wearing dark clothes and red bandanas at the time of the crimes, Taylor said.
