WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — West Valley police say a man has died in an apparent rollover crash.

Police say the crash was reported around 3:15 a.m. Saturday on 4100 South near 5700 West.

Responding officers located a man in his mid-20s who appeared to have been ejected from his vehicle.

There were no witnesses but police say a preliminary investigation indicates the car was traveling east when it veered into westbound lanes.

The car then went up on the shoulder before it rolled over.

Police are investigating whether impairment or speed contributed to the crash.

They say it is not clear if the driver had been wearing his seat belt.

They have not released his identity.
