MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Ladarius Tabb scored 31 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Alabama A&M to an 80-75 victory in overtime over Alabama State on Saturday.

Alabama State led 69-67 in the waning moments of regulation, but two Rakiya Battle free throws with three seconds left sent the game to overtime. Battle finished with 21 points for the Bulldogs (6-8, 2-3 SWAC).

In the extra period Tabb nailed a trey which broke a 71-71 tie and put Alabama A&M up three with 2:28 left. Jamel Waters cut the lead back to 76-75 for the Hornets (6-10, 1-4) with 26 seconds to go, but the Bulldogs hit 4 of 4 at the line to put the game away.

Waters and Tony Armstrong each finished with 19 points for Alabama State, which has dropped four of five.

Alabama A&M has won two of three after a seven game losing streak.
