FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The AFC Divisional playoff game today has the Patriots entertaining the Chiefs. The AFC East champion Patriots had a bye last week while the Chiefs advanced with a 30-0 win over Houston.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — This evening's NFC Divisional game has Arizona playing host to Green Bay. They met late in the regular season with the Cardinals slamming the Packers 38-8. Last weekend the Cards were off while the Packers beat the Redskins.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Joe Philbin, the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, has landed a new job in the NFL. Philbin is now the offensive line coach for the Indianapolis Colts. He spent the past four seasons as head coach of the Dolphins before being fired during the 2015 season.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The pitching staff of the World Champion Kansas City Royals has seemingly improved. A person familiar with the situation says the Royals and free agent pitcher Ian Kennedy have agreed to a $70 million, five-year contract. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the deal will not be finalized until the 31-year-old Kennedy passes a physical.

BALTIMORE (AP) — It looks like the Orioles and free agent slugger Chris Davis have come to an agreement. Multiple people with knowledge of the situation say Davis has agreed to a seven-year, $161 million contract with the O's, pending a physical. The people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Orioles have not announced the transaction.
