UNDATED (AP) — The two NFL playoff games today are being played in Glendale, Arizona, and Foxborough, Massachusetts. In the first game, the AFC Divisional contest, the Patriots are playing host to Kansas City. The second game, an NFC affair, has Green Bay at Arizona.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — The top team in the weekly Associated Press men's basketball poll is looking to get back in the win column today. The Kansas Jayhawks were upset in their last game by West Virginia and this afternoon are home to TCU.

UNDATED (AP) — There are three days games in the NHL this afternoon. In Philadelphia the Flyers are facing the Rangers in a Metropolitan Division game while Arizona is home to New Jersey and Ottawa is in Los Angeles to face the Kings.

HONOLULU (AP) — The third round of the PGA's Sony Open is being played today in Honolulu. At the end of play yesterday the lead was held by Brandt Snedeker (SNEH'-deh-kur), who topped Kevin Kisner by one shot. Snedeker ended the day at 12 under par after yesterday's 5-under 65.

UNDATED (AP) — One NFL team named a new head coach yesterday while another retained its current bench boss. Tampa Bay elevated offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter (KUHT'-ur) to the top job while the Lions announced that Jim Caldwell is coming back for a third season of work.
