PROVO, Utah (AP) — A co-founder of Ancestry.com has been sentenced for sexually abusing two teenage girls.

The Daily Herald of Provo reports (http://bit.ly/1J8UODY) that 51-year-old Daniel Taggart was sentenced Friday to four consecutive terms of zero to five years for three counts of attempted forcible sex abuse and one for attempted sex abuse of a child.

A judge ordered he serve the maximum penalty.

Authorities say Taggart gave his daughter's teenage friend alcohol and sex toys before sexually abusing her twice in summer 2014.

They say he committed similar behavior with another girl in September 2014 and later sent her sexually inappropriate text messages.

One victim said at the sentencing that she has become suicidal since the abuse.

Taggart said he knows his actions were wrong and he hopes the victims can heal.
