FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Jonathan Kasibabu blocked a potential game-tying shot, grabbed two key rebounds and sank four free throws — all in the final 52 seconds — as Fairfield edged Niagara 73-68 Friday night.

Kasibabu's last free throws made it a two-possession game with four seconds left for Fairfield (9-8, 3-4 Metro Atlantic).

Sophomore Tyler Nelson led the Stags with a career-high 27 points with five 3 pointers and five assists. Marcus Gilbert added 17 points, rising to ninth on the school's all-time scoring list (1,432 points).

A Nelson 3-pointer put Fairfield ahead 66-63 at 1:30 and Niagara missed several chances in an intense flurry.

Justin Satchell missed a jumper, but got the board only to see Maurice Taylor's shot blocked by Kasibabu. Matt Scott chased down that rebound and lofted a 3-pointer, which missed and Kasibabu was fouled diving for the loose ball.

Scott led Niagara (5-13, 3-4) with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Satchell scored 16.
