PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks have agreed to one-year contracts with right-hander Shelby Miller, left-hander Patrick Corbin and four other players to avoid arbitration.
All-Star A.J. Pollock exchanged arbitration figures with the Diamondbacks on Friday. He asked for $3.9 million and the team offered $3.65 million.
Catcher Welington Castillo ($3.7 million) and right-handers Daniel Hudson ($2.7 million), Rubby De La Rosa ($2.35 million) and Randall Delgado ($1,275,000) also agreed to deals.
An All-Star last season, Miller arrived in Arizona in an offseason trade that sent 2015 No. 1 overall draft pick Dansby Swanson and outfielder Ender Inciarte to Atlanta. He will make $4.35 million.
Corbin will make $2,525,000 after going 6-5 with a 3.60 ERA in 16 starts after missing the 2014 season due to Tommy John surgery.
De La Rosa went 14-9 with a 4.67 ERA in 32 starts in 2015. Delgado was 8-4 with a 3.25 ERA in 64 appearances.
Hudson went 4-3 with four saves and a 3.86 ERA in his first season since having consecutive Tommy John surgeries.
Castillo hit .237 with 19 homers and 57 RBIs in 110 games.
