CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval is relaunching a committee where power players will discuss some of the biggest questions in the gambling world.
Sandoval signed an executive order Friday reconvening the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee. He'll chair the 12-member board, which will also include Nevada gambling regulators, casino executives and state lawmakers.
The committee will discuss issues that have grabbed recent headlines, including daily fantasy sports and online poker.
The group can make non-binding recommendations to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission.
Sandoval says the committee will help Nevada continue to set the pace in an increasingly competitive global gaming industry.
The panel last convened in 2012 to recommend how Nevada should regulate online poker.
