CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A Logan High School Spanish teacher has been given $5,000 and the use of a new car for one year for being named the West Virginia Teacher of the Year.
Santos was honored at a ceremony Friday in Charleston alongside Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, state schools Superintendent Michael Martirano and other officials.
She has been a teacher for more than 22 years. She has an education degree from West Virginia State University.
