BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The state's congressional delegation says North Dakota State University is getting a more than $500,000 grant to better incorporate wind farms into the nation's power grids.
The delegation says the grant will help engineers make wind power transmission more reliable and stable by finding better ways to integrate it into the power grid.
The grant from the National Science Foundation also will require the university conduct workshops and a summer camp on the subject.
