MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Victor Sanders pumped in a career-high 33 points to lead Idaho to an 83-76 win over Northern Arizona on Thursday night.

Leading by as many as 22 points in the second half, Idaho (11-6, 3-1 Big Sky) had to hold off a Northern Arizona surge that cut the gap to 81-76 on a 3-pointer by Kris Yanku with 13 seconds left. Sanders stretched the lead back to seven with a pair of free throws and then got a steal to cement the win.

Sanders shot 9 for 13 from the field, including four 3-pointers, and was 11 of 13 from the foul line. Chad Sherwood added 14 points and Nate Sherwood had 12 for Idaho, which shot 53 percent from the field and has won six of its past seven games.

Ako Kaluna led Northern Arizona (3-12, 1-3) with 19 points, Felix Rivera-Vega added 17 and Yanku finished with 13.
